Faith Can Not Exist Without Doubt.

Marinating in my head for the last couple of years is the whole idea of faith and doubt; more specifically that they cannot exist without each other. A column is in the works presently, however, until then I would like to submit two quotes to think about.

"There are two ways to slide easily through life: to believe everything or to doubt everything; both ways save us from thinking."
- Alfred Korzybski

"The first key to wisdom is assiduous questioning; for by doubting we come to inquiry and by inquiry we come to truth."
- Peter Abelard

so true, the world has too many people that do not critically think, this is also all too common in many churches and bible colleges. they believe what their parents believe, what the majority says, what they hear first or what feels right. One good thing i like about going to a public university is that questioning is encouraged, though I am just in the first year, i think I know which things will be not so encouraged, namely: talking about God in a class outside Religion.
